What Does Circle Forward Mean?

There is no doubt that 2021 will be a year of change. Every day brings a new challenge, but it also brings new victories.

Change can come in many forms. The Savings Bank was founded in 1912 in Circleville, a city that has certainly seen its share of change throughout its history. Some of those changes bring regret or controversy; many folks still disagree with our predecessors’ choice to “square the circle” in the 1850s. On the other hand, even The Circleville Pumpkin Show was something new once and never would have happened had Mayor George Haswell not craved a new way to celebrate the local harvest. Imagine if someone in 1903 could see the amazing event that The Circleville Pumpkin Show has become in the decades since.

This year, The Savings Bank wants to help you meet change head-on. We want to Circle Forward.

We often talk about circling back—to conversations, to old friends, to unfinished projects—and that’s important. But circling forward is important too.

So, what does circling forward mean?

Circling forward is taking all we’ve learned from the past and using it to build a better future—whether you’re ready to build a new house or save money for a life-changing trip or take action to change your community.  Maybe you’re looking at the simpler things in life, like saving time so you can spend more of it with your family or learning new recipes or switching up your exercise routine. Maybe you’re just taking a moment to breathe.

No goal is too small, and The Savings Bank wants to be there for you every step of the way.

So, here is to 2021. Let’s circle forward together.
