The holiday season is quickly approaching, and National Preparedness Month is a good reminder that preparing ahead can make the unexpected easier to manage, especially when it comes to your finances.
Between gift shopping, travel, holiday meals, and other seasonal expenses, many of us use our debit cards more frequently during the final months of the year. Before the holiday rush begins, take a few minutes to make sure you have convenient access to the tools that can help you monitor and manage your money when things get busy.

When you’re making more purchases than usual, keeping an eye on your account activity becomes even more important. Online banking gives you instant access to your account information. This allows you to regularly check your recent transactions and statements and makes spotting purchases you don’t recognize much easier.
Before holiday shopping gets underway, make sure you know your online banking username and password and can successfully access your account. It is much easier to resolve a forgotten password now than when you’re trying to check during a busy holiday weekend!
